NOAA spine
Official NWS Local Storm Reports via Iowa Environmental Mesonet. National coverage, no default city.
Field pins
Chaser-submitted hail, plotted as HailDataHub pins next to NOAA. City required; map pin only if we can geocode it.
Observed vs radar-estimated
NOAA hail sizes that come from radar are labeled. Ground reports stay distinct from radar estimates.
Free. Hail sizes use inches and household objects (quarter, golf ball, softball).
